Guided by Master Guilhem, the son of an engineer of King Louis IX, you will explore the alleys and ramparts of this iconic medieval city. Between the reorganization of political power within the upper and lower towns, daily life in the 13th century, and Catharism, you will relive this period by discovering the everyday life of the time.

Explore the medieval village of Fanjeaux, a place rich in history and mystery. Founded in the 12th century, Fanjeaux was an important Cathar stronghold, housing the house of the Perfects and attracting figures such as Dominic of Guzmán, founder of the Dominican Order. Wander through its cobblestone streets, steeped in the region’s tumultuous past, and discover the remnants of its glorious castle heritage.
