Travel back in time to the sound of this warrior's voice and the clinking of his armor, and learn about the realities of a stronghold under siege during the Hundred Years' War. Be prepared to challenge your preconceptions about the Middle Ages!
Get to Know Your Guide/Character:
Peppin Le Breton is a soldier who takes part in the defense of Mont Saint-Michel against the English troops controlling the rest of Normandy. He faces the siege of this stronghold and participates in the battle of 1434, during which Mont Saint-Michel narrowly avoids falling into English hands. He shares in both the garrison's military triumphs and its setbacks, including betrayals and conflicts with the monks, as well as counterfeiting and smuggling.

Témoignage d’un voyage hors du temps :
Par la grâce de Peppin le Breton, nous fûmes transportés maints siècles en arrière, jusques au cœur du XVe siècle, en ces temps troublés de la guerre de Cent Ans. Telle une envoûtante chevauchée à travers l’Histoire, cette aventure nous fit voir Mont-Saint-Michel non point tel qu’on le connaît aujourd’hui, mais tel qu’il fut jadis : bastion imprenable, âprement défendu par des âmes vaillantes.
Le récit, conté avec verve et savoir, fut tel un manuscrit vivant — riche en détails, plein de souffle et d’émotion. Point de lassitude n’eut place durant ces heures bénies ; tout s’écoula comme le vent sur les remparts.
Nous rendons hommage à notre guide, preux conteur des temps anciens, pour cette inoubliable odyssée au cœur des âges.
