Guillaume de Saint-Marcel is one of the members of the famous team of master builders that King Philippe Auguste surrounded himself with during his reign, bringing the defenses of his kingdom to life. He had already accompanied his king during the 3rd crusade, from which he returned with many sketches in hand. He is the right person at the time of the insolent rise of Château-Gaillard by the Plantagenet to advise the King of France on possible adaptations of war machines and potential weak points in this "impregnable" creation of the Lionheart. Being close to the king and a man of the field, he can give you the inside story of both the greats of the world and the common people...
