Join us for a journey back to the 19th century, accompanied by our tour guide who will portray the character of Rosa Bonheur during the visit. Come uncover the mysteries of a Nature that played a decisive role in the upbringing and construction of a rebellious child with a fragile destiny. Allow yourself to be led through the meanders of an English garden in the heart of a nurturing nature that will be the foundation of the international artistic career of an exceptionally free and audacious woman in the 19th century. Your guide will reveal the keys to understanding that Rosa Bonheur retained until she became the renowned female painter and sculptor.

Get to Know Your Guide/Character:

Our character, Rosa Bonheur, spent her early years in the small provincial and bourgeois city of Bordeaux. She grew up in a family of artists with mysterious and modest dual bourgeois and aristocratic origins. Rosa Bonheur lived with anxiety about her father's departure from Bordeaux, leaving his beloved city in hopes of advancing his professional and personal career in the capital.
