Get to Know Your Guide/Character:

Perette was born in Albi in 1360 and knows the city like the back of her hand. As an artisan's wife, she belongs to the middle class that lives and works in the shadow of the powerful Bishops of Albi. In her youth, she witnessed all the turmoil of her time: the plague epidemic of 1375, attacks by highwaymen, and the ongoing conflict with the English... Day by day, brick by brick, she watches the new Cathedral of Albi rise, marking the all-powerful rule of the Bishops of Albi and the victory of Catholic thought over the Cathar heresy of the previous century. Curious and talkative, Perette is the right woman to tell the story of her city and the daily life of her time!
