Program

Join us to discover the daily life of the corsairs in Saint-Malo at the end of the 18th century, as the revolution erupts in France...
You will take this walk in the company of Pierre, born around 1770 in Saint-Malo.
Witness the upheavals of this turning point in history through his life and travels, as well as the exploits of the famous Captain Surcouf, who became a legend and whose real life will surprise you in many ways...
From the old alleys of the corsair city to the fortified islets facing the bay, follow him along the walls and fortified gates to the rocky beaches...

Get to Know Your Guide/Character:

Pierre is the son of a peasant, poorly educated but always drawn to the sea. Initially a ship's carpenter, he becomes involved in the events shaking the old city of Saint-Malo during the early years of the Revolution.
Mais lorsque la violence de la Terreur s’éteint, il s’embarque en 1795 pour l’outre-mer et rejoint la flotte corsaire de l’Océan indien, alors qu’en Italie un certain général Bonaparte accède à la gloire…
There, he becomes a crew member of the spirited and formidable Captain Robert Surcouf, who entered legend for his incredible exploits...
But perhaps he will help you distinguish between legend and reality... In an era of contrasts, commitment, and violent convictions, was there room for ordinary destinies?

Balade intéressante avec un guide impliqué à 100% dans son personnage au point que certains du groupe lui ont demandé s’il souhaitait reprendre son métier de charpentier de marine 😁
